Prior to joining Winsight, Sarah spent a dozen years at Penton’s Food & Restaurant Group in various roles, including Editor in Chief and Executive Director of Content, where she was responsible for content strategy and operations, with a particular focus on digital growth.
In addition, Sarah served as Editor in Chief at Nation’s Restaurant News, where she has worked in various roles since 2004, including Financial Editor and Executive Editor of Online Content. During that tenure, Sarah was named a winner for min’s Digital Team of the Year, a Neal Award winner for Best Website and a finalist for best e-newsletter and best use of social media.
Sarah serves on the advisory board for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Dine Out, which partners with the restaurant industry in efforts to end childhood hunger in the U.S., and serves as jury member for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Faces of Diversity Awards. She is a sought-after speaker and has made numerous TV appearances as an expert in restaurant trends.
Sarah is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Prior to NRN, Sarah was a reporter at American Banker and worked in both public and investor relations.
