His deep background in technology positioned Joe Donnelly well for his position at Informa as President, Media and Events Informa Connect Foodservice
He joined Informa in 2016 when his then-company, Light Reading, was acquired by Informa. Joe was chief finance and operations officer at Light Reading and took on a role at Informa in the company’s business-to-business technology division. He was responsible for product development that drove new opportunities and millions in new revenues.
Joe’s career spans two decades in B2B media and events, and he says the foodservice industry is right where he’s meant to be. “I’m soaking in everything I can and look forward to becoming a more recognizable face and thought leader in the industry,” Joe says. He joined the foodservice industry during a tech boom, which fit perfectly with his experience managing media brands in fin-tech, automotive-tech, and enterprise-tech, and covering technologies like artificial intelligence and automation.
In 2019, Joe won the Cultural Leadership Award in the Informa Tech division and provided growth mentorship and guidance to prospective future leaders of Informa. He continues that focus, leading his team to drive diversity and inclusion in programs and publications.
