Sara Anderson Bray is a 25+ industry veteran with extensive experience in operations management, training and executive leadership. As Director of Workforce Development for the National Restaurant Association and the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute, she focuses on key initiatives to attract, upskill and retain the workforce. Ms. Bray regularly supports the work of the Educational Foundation and led the development of the first-ever Food and Beverage Service Competency Model for the industry and the development of the competencies for the Hospitality Sector Registered Apprenticeship (HSRA) Restaurant Manager Pathway. She was instrumental in the creation of ServSuccess, which includes an array of career development solutions for the industry.
Ms. Bray is an active member and master trainer for the Council for Hotel and Restaurant Trainers, and regularly leads development sessions and competency building workshops for industry executives. She serves as key liaison on a variety of national initiatives and councils such as the Credential Engine Retail and Hospitality Sector Initiative and the WorkCred National Credentialing Advisory Council. She oversees the National Restaurant Association, National Restaurant Credentialing Advisory Council and the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute Education Certification Advisory Council, on behalf of the association, working directly with industry experts on today’s most critical needs.
