Ken Thewes serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Regal, one of the largest and most geographically diverse theatre circuits in the U.S., and a subsidiary of The Cineworld Group. Ken oversees all B2C and B2B marketing efforts for Regal, including leveraging the Regal Crown Club, the company's industry-leading loyalty program, and the new Regal Unlimited movie subscription pass, to help drive revenue and profitability.
Additionally, Ken leads the Regal teams responsible for strategy development, advertising, digital, social & mobile media, promotions, public relations, consumer insights, customer service and local marketing. He serves on the Regal Foundation Board, which was established by Regal in 2003 as a non-profit charitable organization to coordinate support for philanthropic groups. Ken also serves on the boards of Fathom Events and Variety - the Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee.
Early in his career, Ken served in the United States Air Force as a Captain and was an Avionics Engineer, working on Air Force One and the F-16 Fighter Program. Over the years, his marketing experience spanned a broad range of industries and billion-dollar brands. He has held a variety of positions, with increasing levels of responsibility, at Procter & Gamble, Darden Restaurants, Brinker International and Spartan Stores.
Ken has been married to Patty for the past 31 years and they have one son, Taylor.
