John Allegretto is a decisive leader with a proven track record of building successful teams and organizations across many industries.  He is recognized for his innovative approach to overcoming business challenges and staying ahead of the curve.  John’s respected for his adaptability, and reliability on driving performance with the goal of value creation. 

Currently, John is the Chief Executive Officer at the Wedge Corporation (dba The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza), a “rock music inspired” full service dining concept focused on gourmet wood fired pizza, and offering an array of unique microbrews and cocktails.  John is focused on developing strategies for long-term growth and spearheading strategic shifts to create an operational foundation for growth.

Prior to The Rock, John joined BJ’s Restaurants and Brewhouse as its Chief Supply Chain Officer. Among his responsibilities, John developed sourcing and procurement strategies for all company spend.  In addition, John oversaw the company’s brewery operations, facilities operations, R&D, and quality assurance functions.

Previously, John served as Vice President of Supply Chain Management for Carlson Restaurant’s Pick Up Stix Division where he led the Cal-Int Food Division, the company’s USDA food manufacturing complex and system-wide distribution center. 

Prior to his role at Carlson, John was a director for The Walt Disney Company’s Strategic Sourcing group at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA., where he was responsible for enterprise-wide food & beverage, packaged media, and G&A procurement strategies. John held various other positions at The Walt Disney Company including Director of Sourcing and Procurement at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA and Senior Manager of F&B concept development at Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland Hong Kong. 

Earlier, John served as Director of Food and Beverage Purchasing at Harvard University and was a staff dietitian at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.

John received a Bachelor of Science in human nutrition and exercise physiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Masters of Business Administration from Bentley University and earned his registered dietitian status from Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston Massachusetts.
