Sheila Bennett started her journey in the foodservice industry as a hostess. These humble beginnings would be the start of a career that would allow her to experience all facets of the food and beverage space from front of house operations to foodservice distribution at PYA Monarch. She has helped brands with both technology solutions while the VP of Business Development at Fishbowl Marketing and supply chain expertise through her time at Armada Supply Chain Solutions Group.
Her passion for both the industry and helping others lead her to positions at the National Restaurant Association’s Educational Foundation and national non-profit Share Our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry. She launched and engineered this iconic cause marketing fundraising program and partnered with the restaurant industry to raise more than $30M in 7 years.
In 2020, Bennett returned to her hometown of Nashville, TN to lead CORE: Children of Restaurant Employees as Executive Director. Under her leadership CORE has helped exponentially more families in times of a health crisis or natural disaster and is positioned for future growth.
In 2021, She was named to Nation’s Restaurant News POWER LIST - Reader's Choice Award and received the Phila Award, Category: Patti Myint Award issued by the Nashville Scene in partnership with the Nashville Farmers’ Market and the Metro Human Relations Commission.
