Brandon Landry has always been driven to succeed. As a high school basketball player at Catholic High in Baton Rouge, La., Brandon recognized his strong internal drive to succeed and compete at the highest level.
Brandon is committed to more than just Walk-On’s, though. He is active in organizations that support the success of his industry and his community and that commitment has earned him an impressive list or awards and recognition.
Brandon is a member of many organizations including the National Restaurant Association, Young Presidents’ Organization and the LSU L Club. He serves on the boards of directors for BREC Foundation and Make a Wish Foundation. Brandon is a regular guest entrepreneurship and leadership presenter at universities, businesses and conferences.
When high school ended though, his passion for competing was just beginning. His longtime dream was to be a member of his hometown Louisiana State University’s basketball team. The fact that he wasn’t recruited didn’t deter him. Hard work and dedication earned him a spot on the team as a walk-on and he played from 1997 – 2000. It was during this time that the idea for Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar was born.
Since those early days at the first Walk-On’s restaurant in the shadow of Tiger Stadium, the same commitment that drove Brandon to succeed on the court has enabled him to succeed as a Restaurateur. Walk-On’s has grown to an impressive 75 family-friendly locations with many more coming soon across the country.
