Joe DePinto is the President and CEO of 7-Eleven, Inc. and leads the premier company in convenience retailing. Globally, there are approximately 47,600 7-Eleven stores worldwide of which some 9,400 stores are in North America.
Before being appointed Chief Executive of 7-Eleven, Inc. in 2005, DePinto was President of GameStop Corporation. He also has held executive positions at PepsiCo, Inc. and Thornton Oil Corporation.
DePinto is a Board Director of 7-Eleven, OfficeMax (NYSE: OMX), Brinker International (NYSE: EAT), The Retail Industry Leaders Association, Business Executives for National Security, SMU's Cox School of Business, Lone Star Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Command and General Staff College Foundation and The National Italian American Foundation. He is a member of the Advisory Councils for Outlook Leadership, The Pro Players Foundation, The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth and is a Network of Executive Women Champion.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, DePinto earned a bachelor's degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He and his wife Ingrid and their four sons reside in Southlake, Texas.
